Multimodal data integration to quantify tumor heterogeneity in cancer

from December 02nd to December 06th, 2024, in Aussois

This third edition of the Health Data Challenge (HADACA 3) is organized by the M4DI project, an axis of the PEPR Santé Numérique, the hub data challenge of the University of Grenoble-Alpes (TIMC, IAB and GRICAD) and the ITMO Cancer Avesian (2009-2023, ACACIA project). This challenge takes place in Aussois, from December 02nd to December 06th, 2024.

Aim of the challenge

The aim goal of this challenge is to explore and discover new methods for solving deconvolution problems. This challenge will be devoted to the quantification of tumor heterogeneity.

This scientific competition will focus on quantifying tumor heterogeneity using supervised deconvolution approaches on bulk multiomics data (transcriptome and DNA methylation). Particular emphasis will be placed on the integration of multi-modal reference data (single cell-RNAseq, RNAseq, and DNAm of pure cell-type profiles). They will be able to use deconvolution and data integration methods of their choice.

Participants will need to bring their own laptop.

Who can participate?

Undergraduate students, doctoral and post-doctoral students, engineers, researchers, professors, clinicians, and private sector employees are welcome. We are looking for interdisciplinary expertise in Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics or Medical Sciences.

We expected participants to be familiar with R programming langage (or Python or equivalent) and with basic statistical concepts. No prior knowledge of omics data is required.
